What is Rhythm?

Rhythm is a project developed for youth aged 16-23 to give them the opportunity to work with a professional DJ to build self-confidence and move toward a positive self image while learning DJ skills using the latest software and technology.

Each session will begin with a light meal followed by 2 hours of time with the DJs.  There will be plenty of hands-on time for each participant, as there will be 4 people and 2 DJs every night.

At the end of the 8 weeks, every participant will receive a completion bonus of a certificate, a copy of the DJ software used during the workshops and even a disc with a copy of their own mixed tracks!

What will you get from Rhythm?

Other than an exciting new skill mixing tracks "behind the decks", participants will:
  • learn to express themselves creatively
  • find an outlet for stress and anger management
  • gain experience in teamwork
  • improve communication skills
  • discover improved self confidence and self awareness.
